In addition to being part of urban planning, public toilets are also a field of gender debate. Whether it is the establishment of gender-friendly toilets or public discussion about increasing the number of women's toilets, it is related to the rise of public gender awareness in recent years.
Even though Hong Kong's gender sentiment is still conservative, it can still learn from foreign designs and broaden its imagination of urban space. Recently, two foreign designers launched the "Lapee" urine pocket for women to use for large outdoor activities.
Apart from solving the problem of insufficient female toilets, the design also incorporates a sense of equal rights, as to whether it is suitable to use in Hong Kong, it depends on different viewpoints, let’s see.
